US Customers, new import tariffs!

For orders delivered after August 29th 2025, please note that all relevant import tariffs and duties will be payable locally.

The US has now confirmed that all De Minimis Exemption Exports of goods to the US will end on 29 August 2025. That means no shipments valued under US $800 will enter the US duty-free, whether they originate from the UK, EU, or any other country.

The rules on Chinese manufactured goods were already changed in April.

Key points of change
Previously, packages under US $800 avoided duties and customs entry. This will come to an end on 29 August 2025

  • From 29 August those same shipments will now incur US import duties – either based on the country’s standard tariff rate plus any additional “reciprocal tariff” based on where they are manufactured, additionally there will be your carrier’s standard customs clearance charge
  • For a period of six months, companies may opt to use a temporary flat per-item tariff (between $80 and $200 depending on the country where the goods are manufactured) for postal shipments (valid for six months)
  • After this time, all goods will be required to make a full customs declarations and pay the required duty, additional tariff and your shipper’s standard customs declaration fees.
